It pairs very well with full flavoured meat dishes, particularly lamb and game.
Serve at 15-16ºC
Intense and extrovert bouquet.
Its palate shows exuberant concentrated berry flavours and a touch of spiciness.
The fermentation took place for 15 days at a maximum temperature of 28ºC. After the fermentation in concrete vats, the wine had an extended maceration for 2 weeks. The must was pressed. Once the malolactic fermentation was finished the wine was racked.
Marques de Montañana is made from ancient low bush vines planted in the D.O. Calatayud high in the mountains of Northern Spain between Madrid and Zaragoza. After a careful selection of the Garnacha grapes proceeding from 50 year-old bush vines, the grapes were destalked and crushed.
