Third party recommendation

"The 2009 Terran de Vallobera is pure old-vine Tempranillo fermented in oak vats with malolactic and 15 month aging in French oak barrels. It is different from the rest of the range of wines from Vallobera, not only in the Burgundian bottle and modern label, but also in its profile, where the intensity of the old vines seems to handle the oak well. Even though it’s still a baby it is already pointing in the right direction, with ripe fruit, well-balanced oak and clean acidity. A clean, modern, intense young Rioja". Drink 2015-2019. 91 Points
