The San Pedro family has a centuries-long heritage of vineyard working and winemaking in the village of Laguardia in the heart of Rioja Alavesa. Bodegas San Pedro is the dream come true of Javier San Pedro Rández, who entered his father's bulk wine bussiness at the age of 14 and always dreamt of producing his own wines following his personal style and liking: elegant concentrated wines loaded with ripe fruit and complexity.​

About the D.O.

The Rioja DOCa (Qualified designation of origin) was the first to be established in Spain and the first to become D.O.Ca. Rioja DOCa is located in the Ebro valley, protected by Sierra de Cantabria Mountain, in la Rioja Alavesa region. The climate is affected by Atlantic and by Mediterranean influences (400mm/year), which increase as one goes down the Ebro River.The soils are composed of clay-limestone and the vineyards are made up of terraces and small parcels.
