Third party recommendation

"The 2010 Vallobera Crianza, produced with Tempranillo fermented with its own yeasts, is quite perfumed, with pleasant notes of violets, licorice, ripe cherries and a hint of smoke and pepper. The medium-bodied palate reveals a balanced wine, with the wood well-integrated, flavors of orange peel, cedar and licorice, with balanced acidity. A very pleasant Crianza sold at an attractive price. Drink 2014-2018". 90 Points

Vallobera Crianza

D.O.Ca. Rioja

The San Pedro family has a centuries-long heritage of vineyard working and winemaking in the village of Laguardia in the heart of Rioja Alavesa. Bodegas Vallobera owns 80 ha of prime vineyards. Vallobera is his highest-located vineyard and, in fact, one of the highest in the whole of Rioja. It has 14 ha and produces very good grapes. The Vallobera vineyard has
been chosen as the trademark of the wines.

Tasting note

Dark morello cherry colour. On the nose, the wine has intense ripe fruit aromas, with hints of dark spices and minerals, giving the wine a fine and elegant character. On the palate the wine reveals perfect harmony, with good body and noble tannins, the correct amount of acidity, full of flavour, satisfying with a long finish and a persistent, well-balanced aftertaste.

Pairing

Ideal to accompany grilled red meat, game and roasts. Best consumed at 18ºC.
