Way of St. James
The Way of St. James (or 'Camino de Santiago' in Spanish) is a route that has been taken by pilgrims of all Europe, which finishes in the Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela, where are the relics of James, son of Zebedee situated. It was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO, European Cultural Route and has the honorific title of Main Street of Europe, awarded by the Prince of Asturias.
In Castilla y León autonomous region are many different routes to do the Way of St. James, being the most important the French Road, the Madrid Road and the Silver Way.
