OUR WINE​

The roots of our Zumaya wines can be found at Bodega Finca El Carpio, which is located in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. This experienced winery is situated in northwestern Spain at 700-850 m. above sea level.

Ribera del Duero is exposed to a continental climate, with extreme temperatures, from long cold winters to very hot summers, which ensure the perfect weather combination for ripe and concentrated fruit.

The vineyards of Finca El Carpio are located on the slopes of the 'Carpio hill' in Fuentespina, close to the banks of the river Duero.

ZUMAYA wines are made of a grape variety which is considered to be the star of Spanish grapes. Of course, we are talking about the Tempranillo grape! This outstanding variety produces a medium to full-bodied wines with a lot of fruit characteristics.
