​Atapuerca (Burgos)

​​Atapuerca is situated in the northern part of the village of Ibeas de Juarros, in Burgos (Castilla y León).
Declared as World Heritage Site in 2000, contain exceptional archaeological findings, for its abundante, its good conservation and its scientific importance: tools of all the technologic stages (from the Rock age to the Bronze age); a new specie of cave bear; and three diferent ancestor human remains: the oldest of Europe, Homo Antecessor, Homo Heidelbergensis and Homo Sapiens.​​
